On planet Earth, Dane Black, otherwise known as X, leans over his younger sister Peri’s shoulder to watch a small, vibrant, red zigzag zap back and forth across the screen of her laptop. A long tail, ending in a flame-rimmed, black hole streams behind it. As they watch, it starts pulling the icons into its void, until they all disappear. This is the first warning sign that events are set to unravel that could destroy their father’s international technology empire.
At the same time, in a far-off galaxy, on a small planet Empyrium, Agg, Omni Ruler of the planet and his granddaughter Angelica, discover an unidentified energy force that is interfering with their inter-galactic communication network. Any breaks in this network can disrupt the balance of the universe. It’s usually a sign of Madrogue, the Universe’s most negative force.
Agg immediately sends for Mentr and Smouse. Armed only with the counsel of ‘The Guide’, they are urgently sent to Earth to find the source and to stop Madrogue. To do this they must assume the role of extra-ordinary pets and bring together the talents of two diametrically opposed families.
